When going to a restaurant to enjoy a nice meal, we normally expect good service and good food in exchange for our hard-earned money. Unfortunately that does not always happen and in extreme cases, restaurant patrons are getting a lot more than they bargained for, and not in a good way! Although there are probably millions of hard-working, ethical restaurant workers in the world, you’ll find bad apples in just about any industry or profession. Sometimes, bad behavior on the part of restaurant staff becomes part of a culture that says it’s OK to do things that really aren’t OK at all. Here are a few things to consider when dining out.

1. Skip the Lemon

Although a fresh wedge of lemon can add a nice subtle kick to your water or other beverage, many restaurant workers reports that lemons are not handled in a way that promotes cleanliness. They tend to be handled by numerous staff and they are often not washed before being cut up to be placed in your drink.
