4. Arame

Seafood usually means we’re planning to dine on fish or other sea-dwelling creatures, but this time we’re talking about a plant from the sea. Arame is collected off the coast of Japan and is usually purchased dry and then rehydrated while cooking. The Japanese use it in a number of dishes including soups and muffins. Its super food status comes from the rich supplies of  calcium, iodine, iron, magnesium, and vitamin A that it provides.
