This Arizona resident did not fare much better than Mr. Proxmire, although he did enjoy the fruits of his winnings for a longer period of time. After his $6.7 million win, Tallmadge traveled extensively around Africa and Asia for 18 years, buying expensive cars and homes before he ended up filing for bankruptcy in 2006.
