Dibutyl phthalate is used in many nail polishes, which you may think is harmless, since your nails are so hard, right? Wrong. Your nails are able to absorb things much like the skin can, and you don’t want things like dibutyl phthalate in your body. Both nail polish and nail polish remover also contain other nasty chemical ingredients such as toluene. Is it any wonder that these products produce such a strong chemical odor when used?
