If only this drug has been around in Al Capone’s day! A chemotherapy drug called Xeloda can cause fingerprints to disappear. This is due to the fact that one of the potential side effects of the drug is peeling skin. On one occasion, a man coming to America from Singapore who was taking the drug was detained by U.S. immigration officials because his fingerprints appeared to be missing.
