The vast majority of us will never truly understand the criminal mind. Although there are all kinds of criminals in the world, the most disturbing among them are the truly deranged, like serial killers of child molesters, for example. Considering the level of depravity that some criminals have sunk to, perhaps it should be no surprise to learn that a number of them are responsible for uttering truly bizarre things, which might actually seem funny if they didn’t originate in the minds of such sick individuals.

1. Charles Whitman

On August 1, 1966 Charles Whitman murdered his wife and his mother and then proceeded to the University of Texas in Austin where he was an engineering student. He climbed up to the top of a tall tower on the campus with a rifle and opened fire on the people below, killing 16 and injuring 32 others. Quote: “[I am] a victim of many unusual and irrational thoughts. I love my wife dearly. I cannot rationally pinpoint any reason for doing this.”
