2. Navy Bombers Vanish in Bermuda Triangle

It’s mysterious enough when a single aircraft goes missing and even more startling when five of them are lost. On December 5, 1945 a flight of five U.S. Navy TBM Avenger Torpedo Bombers were on a routine training mission off the coast of Florida in the area known as the “Bermuda Triangle.” All the pilots were experienced, especially one who also served as an instructor. There were reports that navigational instruments were malfunctioning in all of the aircraft and that they may have become lost. A search plane that was sent out to look for the missing aircraft also mysteriously disappeared. The aircraft and pilots were never seen or heard from again.
