Here’s one for the annals of odd. Some young thugs in San Francisco decide to go out on a bit of a crime spree in the vicinity of the Alemany public housing complex in the city’s Bernal Heights section. They surrounded their victim and began to rifle through his pockets, taking his cell phone.
For some reason, one of the tough guys decides to pull a gun and aim it at the victim’s head. Even though the victim complied with all of the group’s demands and did not resist, the gunman pulls the trigger.
Unfortunately for one of the gunman’s accomplices and very fortunately for the victim, the bullet actually ricocheted off of the victim’s face and struck 16-year-old Clifton Chatman, killing him on the spot. The thugs then took off running the way thugs usually do when a shot is fired, leaving one of their buddies mortally wounded.
The victim only suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at a local hospital.
