5. Hairball

Although a hairball is not something uncommon for a cat to cough up, this time we’re talking about a 18-year-old woman in New England who really didn’t have a shot at coughing up the 10-pound hairball she had lodged in her stomach. The woman had a condition called trichophagia, which, as you might expect, causes people to eat their own hair. Fortunately for her, doctors were able to remove the massive hairball that had taken up nearly all the space in her stomach.
