10. Time Travel

If we hadn’t been reading a bit about the wild and crazy world of quantum mechanics recently, we’d be more likely to just laugh at this one. The problem with most of the theories like this one is that it reads too much like a movie script. One theory has the plane traveling back in time to the 1970’s where the U.S. somehow got their hands on it and reversed-engineered the technology to come up with the original Boeing 777 during the 1980’s. After all that trouble, you would think that the end result would be something a bit more exciting than an airliner. A flying saucer or a Star Trek-type transporter would be nice.
