While most of us think of men when we hear the phrase “serial killer,” there are also a number of women who fit that description, although their numbers pale in comparison to their male counterparts. Kathleen Folbigg was found guilty for the murder of her own four children between 1991 and 1999 in New South Wales, Australia. Technically, she was found guilty of manslaughter in the death of her fourth victim, her 19-day old son, Caleb. Kathleen Folbigg was ultimately sentenced to 30 years in prison and she maintains her innocence to this day, claiming that all of her children died of “natural causes.”
