10. Work or Jail, What Would You Choose?

Every employer is familiar with the standard excuses employees use to score a day off. Calling in “sick” is far-and-away the most popular way to get a day off but that tired old excuse wasn’t good enough for a man in Brandon who staged a break-in at his home and called police to investigate just so he wouldn’t have to go to work! Unfortunately for him, reporting a phony crime is a crime and the man was arrested. We suspect he’ll fall back to a more traditional excuse the next time he finds himself hankering for a day off from work.
