4. Kidney Thieves

Another very long-lived urban legend involves terrifying stories of people being drugged and then having a kidney removed surgically for sale on the black market by organized criminal gangs. The story often states that the victim wakes up and finds that they are sitting in a bathtub full of ice, supposedly to prevent complications after the surgery. Efforts have been made to find victims of these alleged kidney thieves without success.
