3. Genghis The Prolific

As the infamous Mongol Emperor Genghis Khan rampaged across Eurasia in the 13th century, his conquests were not limited to the battlefield. He was once quoted as saying, “The greatest joy a man can know is to conquer his enemies and drive them before him. To ride their horses and take away their possessions. To see the faces of those who were dear to them bedewed with tears, and to clasp their wives and daughters in his arms.” That, apparently, was no pipedream. A genetic study conducted in modern times revealed that almost 16 million men living in Asia today carry his Y-chromosome. Fortunately, not all of them inherited his thirst for violent conquest.
