OK, this may be one of the nastiest we have heard considering that these things are so prolific, and they just love to land on your food and crawl around on it whenever they get the chance. The housefly defecates almost continuously due to its gluttonous habit of eating as much as it can pretty much all the time. The average housefly lets it fly, so to speak, roughly every five minutes. Trust us, we’re as horrified as you are when we realize just how much fly excrement we have likely ingested during the course of our lives!
