Our eyes are our windows to the world, and we tend to just take them for granted like we do with so many other amazing things our bodies allow us to do. When you take a little time to think about it, just the fact that our eyes allow us to construct images of the world around us is amazing, but the eyes are amazing for a number of other reasons as well.

We’ve all heard the expression, “in the blink of an eye.” Well, a blink is indeed pretty darn quick, and only takes between 100 and 150 milliseconds on average. Most people blink about 5 million times in a single year.
