A judge in Ontario, Canada, decided that the best way to stop a 24-year-old man from assaulting women was to ban him from having a girlfriend for three years. Steven Cranley had a history of assaulting his girlfriends and was said by doctors to have serious problems handling rejection. Cranley managed to make it half-way though his lonely sentence before he assaulted another woman he knew and was sentenced to two years in jail.
