Dumpster diving, shopping at D-Mart, garbage picking, trashing. Whatever you want to call it, it’s not something that only needy people do. At times there are true treasures that are pulled from dumpsters and trash cans. People have made amazing and valuable discoveries by picking through trash, but usually the things people find in the trash are pretty much, well, trash. In many of the following cases, one man’s trash is another man’s weird find.

Not too long ago a woman in the United Kingdom received her fifteen minutes of fame by dumping a neighbor’s cat in a trash bin. There have been numerous other incidents all over the world where people have placed cats or kittens in trash containers – some dead and some quite alive and healthy.
