Despite the name, this crazy idea had nothing to do with looking through walls or blasting enemy troops with a death ray. Instead, this project spent about $2 Million testing the idea that bats could be used to drop millions of tiny bombs on Japan. When the atomic bomb was developed, interest in the bats waned and the project was cancelled.
