This appears to be an on-going problem that is still not fully understood. The bees appear to be dying off in large numbers due to something that is causing entire bee colonies to disappear. Scientists call it “colony collapse disorder,” but they still are uncertain about the exact cause. Theories ranging from cell phone signals to insecticide have been contemplated without any firm conclusion.
