6. Pelican Madness, USA and Mexico

2009 was a strange year where animal behavior is concerned. Pelicans were observed acting strangely and dying off in areas ranging from Oregon to Mexico. Experts wondered of the birds were suffering from some type of virus or may have simply become confused by the unusual weather that year which may have interrupted their feeding habits.
