They say that cockroaches may be one of the only surviving species left on planet earth if we human eventually manage to exterminate ourselves. There’s no doubt that cockroaches are quite adaptable and robust insects in many ways, but we doubt they could survive what the larvae of a certain species of tiny midge fly can withstand. How about three days submerged in liquid nitrogen with an average temperature of –321F below zero? Yeah, that’s pretty tough for a little would-be bug.
