Botfly sounds like some kind of futuristic initiative to create robotic insects, probably so the NSA could use them to spy on people. In reality, however, these are another one of the most disgusting bugs on this list. There are numerous types of botflies around the globe,  and all of them spend part of their lives as maggots living in the flesh of a living creature. And yes, some of them specialize in using humans for their breeding ground!
