10. Cats

In contrast to the blind loyalty that our canine friends exhibit, cats are usually much more independent, and are often perceived to have a certain “air” about them. Since cats have a history that associates them with mystical realms like the occult, perhaps some of those with a fear of cats are put off by their more mysterious nature. Then again, maybe they just fear them for reasons that cannot be explained and perhaps never will.
