10. Back Scratchers

More than a few of us would probably admit to a time a two during the course of our lives when we really could have used a back scratcher. If only we had been fortunate enough to have Gideon Weiss as a neighbor! Gideon has collected a total of 236 back scratchers that are described as “unusual.” We wish Gideon luck with his collection but we find it difficult to regard back scratchers as anything beyond utilitarian – particularly when your arm is just short of that spot in the middle of your back that could really use a good scratch.
