3. Fontanelle

OK, so if you’re as grossed out by us by those “soft spots” on the heads of babies of a certain age, you might appreciate knowing that there is a name for them. They are called fontanelles. It doesn’t really seem to fit, but we’ll take the dictionary at its word (pun intended). “I’m sorry Emily, I’d be more willing to play with you if I wasn’t grossed out by the sight of your fontanelle pulsing.” (Yes, they really do pulsate in tune with the heartbeat if you look closely!)
