There are people that engage in some pretty far-out sporting activities, like those that crave the adrenalin rush they get from base jumping, cave diving, or heli-skiing, to name just a few. There are, however, a whole list of other unusual sports that don’t necessarily involve as much danger,but their unusual nature puts them in a league of their own.

1. Swamp Football

Originating in the north of England, this down-and-dirty game is much like the traditional football (soccer for Americans) that’s enjoyed by millions of fans around the world, but with a very distinct difference. The games are played in swamps. Literally. Although much of the world has likely never even heard of this unusual sport, there are more than 200 swamp football teams around the world.
