We made that name up, because it sounds better than the “Association of Lincoln Presenters.” In case you haven’t guessed by now, this group of guys are all Abraham Lincoln impersonators. Perhaps they prefer “presenters” instead, but let’s face it, besides the sequins and hip gyrations, these guys are doing basically the same thing the Elvis impersonators are doing – trying their best to look like someone they’re not. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! At any rate, this is a small group of about 150 members who meet once a year to… Hang around and do their best to look like Abe Lincoln. Just don’t try getting in if your name happens to be Wilkes-Booth.
