This is definitely ones of those jobs with a title that makes it sound more complex than it actually is. Even though we might make light of the title, the importance of the job should probably not be diminished. Coconuts falling from palm trees on resort properties have the potential to injure or even kill someone who happens to be passing under it when it decides it’s time to leave the tree. These “engineers” shimmy up coconut palms and remove ripe coconuts that are almost ready to fall from the tree.
