A traveler in Springfield, Missouri learned the hard way that even something that’s harmless, but looks like something dangerous is enough to get a lot of attention at the TSA checkpoint. In this case, the item is a cut-away style mockup of a large firework that looks pretty realistic. There’s no doubt that something like that on a plane could cause a whole lot of hurt for all parties involved if it was real, and if it detonated on the plane.
