With an appearance a bit reminiscent of an avocado, the cherimoya is also called custard apple due to its soft, creamy interior which is described as tasting somewhat like a combination of pineapple and banana. In addition to its taste which may remind some people of a tropical cocktail, the cherimoya is probably a lot better for you. It’s loaded with vitamin C and provides more fiber than an apple.
