Yes, you read that right. We’re talking about the brains of cows here. It’s touted as a super food since it is packed with protein and also provides an omega-3 fatty acid called DHA. Although it’s certainly not unheard of here, you won’t see it on the menu of many eateries in the U.S. It is, however, more commonly used in places like France, Italy and Mexico among others. The fact that it’s brains we’re talking about is off-putting enough, but if we’re not mistaken, cow brains is where that whole “mad cow” thing started a number of years ago. Thanks, but we’ll stick with the porterhouse or filet mignon.
