This condition, though not characterized as an eating disorder on its own, is accompanied by an eating disorder more often than not. In addition to their desire to achieve the “perfect” body through exercise, these people also feel a more intense “high” than most people get from working out, and often seek to experience that feeling as often as possible, sometimes resulting in exhaustion or injury.
