2. Lymphatic Filariae

Just the name of this one is enough to give you the creeps, and for good reason. These specialized parasites prefer to hang about in the human lymphatic system, which is pretty important for the overall health of your immune system. These little worms invading someone’s body often result in symptoms such as swelling of the extremities and breasts. Interestingly, the genitalia is one area that is particularly prone to swelling in men that are infected. While most men may find that notion appealing, one needs to question how much longer one would have to make use of that enhanced organ with parasitic worms throwing a party in their lymphatic system!
