Zapping someone with electricity to help relieve mental health problems is something we’ve probably all heard about being done years ago. It may sound crude and ineffective, but it has been shown to offer some benefit in severe cases. Today it is still used occasionally as a treatment for severe depression that has not been treated successfully using any other methods.
