The Japanese – whether deserved or not – seem to hold a special place among the world’s population as a people that embrace traditions and certain other activities that the rest of us might view as unusual. Although this is not the strangest story we’ve ever heard coming out of Japan, it’s not every day that a couple employs a robot as a witness to their wedding. The robot was described as “humanoid,” although there was no word on whether the mechanical man (or woman) shed any tears during the ceremony.
