Despite the fact that the island chain that makes up the Maldives is the smallest country in Asia, they make up for it with tropical beaches and activities that include big game fishing, island hopping, snorkeling, sunset cruises, and of course, fine accommodations and dining. What’s odd: What may be a little unusual for visitors from the U.K. is that the traditional “weekend” days are Friday and Saturday and not Saturday and Sunday.
