OK, so when an aircraft is nicknamed “The Flying Pancake” you know you’re in for a treat if you can see that thing actually fly. Well, fly it did! Designed for possible use by the U.S. Navy in 1942, this UFO-like aircraft made 190 flights but it never made it into mass production and served mostly as a proof-of-concept aircraft.
