5. Sri Lanka Frogmouth

One look at these things clearly shows why they earned the name they were given. They look a bit like some kind of weird hybrid experiment that crossed an owl with a frog, but these natives to Sri Lanka and Southern India are much weaker in flight than owls. They are content to hang out in the trees during the day, and head out after dark to hunt for tasty bugs to gobble up.
