A bird with a name like that simply could not be excluded from this list! If anything is magnificent about this species, it’s the ability the males have to inflate that massive, bright-red balloon-like pouch they have on their throat. These sea birds can be found around coastal areas of California and Florida and often feed by stealing food from smaller birds.
