8. Heart Attack

As strange as it may sound, dogs can indeed suffer from a heart attack. As with humans, a heart attack is caused by a blockage of the blood flow in the heart, and can lead to death. It is actually possible to perform CPR on a dog and there are even veterinary defibrillators that have been developed for use on animals.
