Those of us who grew up in areas that were inhabited by dragonflies were quite possibly fascinated by their amazing aerobatic skills as they flitted about catching other unfortunate insects to feed on. It’s no wonder that insects favored as prey for dragonflies often found it difficult to escape these agile predators that can fly at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour!
