Boy George, whose real name is George Alan O’Dowd, is best-known as the frighteningly makeup-plastered singer from the 80’s pop musical group Culture Club. In 2007, the then 47-year-old former pop star was arrested in the U.K. for “false imprisonment” after he had chained a 28-year-old male escort to the wall of his residence for purposes that we can most likely all imagine. The escort told authorities that he escaped by pulling a hook out of the wall that was securing his restraints. At his trial, O’Dowd was sentenced to 15 months in jail and was fined £5,000.
