It’s likely that a great number of people in the African nation of Uganda still cringe when they hear the name Idi Amin. The mentally unstable tyrant is believed to have had some 300,000 people tortured or killed during his reign. Some claim that Amin kept the heads and other various body parts from some of his victims in a refrigerator and once told his minister of health that he found the taste of human flesh “rather too salty.” During the 1970’s Amin bestowed upon himself the title of, “His Excellency President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea, and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular.”
