4. Gone Bananas

Let’s face it, is there any better way to ring in the year than with a good food fight? In this specific instance, we’re talking about a banana that was used by a man in Port Richey to attack his girlfriend. We normally don’t think of a food fight as something serious enough to warrant the attention of law enforcement, but in this case, the man was hauled of to jail for domestic battery. Both the man and his girlfriend claimed that the other threw the first banana, but since the girlfriend’s face showed a bit of redness from the alleged fruit attack, the man was arrested.
