Speaking of nerds, people that willfully attend this gathering might be even nerdier than the nerds singing ‘round the campfire at a filk festival. Anyone who has spent at least five minutes surfing the web has likely come across a meme. Those pictures of cats, dogs, people or just about anything else that someone has embellished with a witty phrase. Not all of them are witty, of course, but that’s beside the point. ROFLCon is a bit hard to wrap your head around, but evidently it involves people dressing up in costumes that are intended to somehow represent various internet memes. That’s the closest we could come to understanding this thing, so our sincere apologies to ROLFCon attendees if they are offended by our failure to properly explain the full glory and greatness of that which they call ROFLCon.
