It’s obvious that a certain 44-year-old South Carolina woman is serious about her beer. When her common-law husband arrived home late on Christmas Eve and was not bearing the one true gift that says “I love you” (beer), the woman flew into a rage and attacked him with a ceramic squirrel. As if smashing the fake rodent over the man’s head were not enough, she then proceeded to stab him with a sharp piece of the broken decorative piece. The man wisely fled to a neighbor’s house where he called police, resulting in the arrest of his assailant who was held in the county lockup with a $10,000 bail. The man’s injuries were not life-threatening although he may now live the rest of his life with an unusual fear of squirrels.
