I hate to keep picking on the state of Florida, I really do, but for some reason some of the wackiest crime stories seem to originate there. One assumes that a shopping trip to Walmart would normally be a pretty safe experience. Not so if you happened to be outside a Deerfield Beach Walmart when one envious employee decided to exact revenge on the co-worker who received an “employee of the month” award. After arguing with his co-worker about their duties, the employee decided to get even when his co-worker who received the award that he felt he deserved. After the sore loser made numerous threats to the award-winner, claiming he would “show her,” he made good on those threats by using a gun to shoot out the window of her car in the Walmart parking lot. Fortunately, the woman was not in the car at the time and nobody was injured. The shooter was booked into the local jail on charges of discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
