5. Five Dots

It’s popular and both Europe and the United States as in indication of a the time spend behind bars. Four dots may represent the prison walls and a dot in the center may represent the convict. Sometimes five dots are also used by gangs who identify, for various reasons, with the number five. Numbers often figure prominently in prison tattoos and are commonly used to indicate letters in the alphabet.
