4. Three Dots

With a number of possible meanings, three dots may indicate the “gang lifestyle” or a “my crazy life” attitude. The dots are often seen around the eyes or on the hands, and may also be a symbol for the holy trinity. One reason this tattoo may be so popular is the ease with which they can be applied to the body. Only basic tools are needed, and are often all that is available inside a prison.
